The field of Mixed Media art is so vast... with all the different ways in which people do mixed media work. I know that for my art, I have a whole series of websites that I refer to for resources, etc... but I bet we all use different resources... whether it be for getting general information and "how-to's" , or online stores for supplies or other downloadable things, like patterns and designs.

I'm going to put together a Resource Listing for us here in Mixed Media.

So, you wanna help? :)

1) Send along any LINKS for resources that you have found useful as a reply to this post.

2) I'll take it and add it to the Resource Listing, which once I figure out how to do it will appear pinned to the top of this section, so that you can access it in the future.

Tell everyone what it is... so for example...

"This is a great link for Information on Collage." Then I know where to put it right away.

Whoo-hoo!

Great resources! I added them in... I think in the right places, and changed some of the categories around to meet the resources you submitted. That's wonderful! Make sure I put them in the right places...

:) This is going to be a nice resource.

I know there are people out there who have resources on Altered books... I don't really know anything about them.

I like it minus the fact i get 500 emails of new posts constantly!!! ...and when i select do not recieve new emails, it unjoins me from the site and i gotta sign up again to even look at it!!! ARGH!

Shannon, that has to be specific to your group. The mods/admins set the rules for each group. Perhaps a nicely worded email would solve that problem.

Uh, I hate to be a brat but could you please look into one of the resources listed here - www.cherrypie.com . I was sitting here with my daughter and clicked on it when lo and behold, I got not one, but three risque (at least one XXX) sites popping up. It's probably a typo or something. Thanks

I wrote an article about how to make handmade paper that some mixed media artists may find helpful. I use these handmade papers in collage, altered art, art journals, and scrapbooking. They are also useful for printmaking; I actually learned how to make paper as part of a printmaking class I took in college.

How to Recycle Old Paper and Junk Mail into Art (AKA How To Make HandMade Paper)

Hope you guys find this helpful, and I will look forward to checking out all the resources you have all posted, too.
