OK, Everyone knows I started  collecting ACEO's. (which I have gotten WAY out of control! I am an IMEDIATE gratification guy, so when I order one and it takes more than 1 hour for shipping, I haven't gotten my "fix" so I keep ordering...)

Besides collecting though, I started making some!  Thats addictive too!! LOL

I got a scanner now, so here are my abstracts that I made over the weekend.

Elemental Abstract - Water (Acrylic on 140lb watercolor paper)

Tequilla Sunrise (Water Color Paints and Water Color Pencils on 140lb watercolor paper)

Gold Abstract (I LOVE metalic paints!!) (Acrylic on 140lb watercolor paper)

Gold Circles (Acrylic on 140lb watercolor paper)

Anyone Notice I like Circles? (Mixed Media/ Watercolor and Acrylic on 140lb watercolor paper)

How About Now? (Mixed Media/ Watercolor and Acrylic on 140lb watercolor paper)

Birth By Fire (Mixed Media/ Watercolor and Acrylic on 140lb watercolor paper)

Its funny, the last 3 were watercolor ones that DID NOT turn out, so I grabbed my Acrylics and decided to try to bring them back to life, expecting the attempt to be futile, and they are my 3 favs! I didn't think they were salvagable so I am very happy they came back to life!

(Other note, the 3 salvaged ones were also baddly warped by too much water in the watercolor. After adding the Acrylic on top of the dried, warped watercolrs, the cards bounced back to their original, flat shape. Maybee a clear coat of acrylic could salvage other warped watercolors, even a thin coat on the back of the piece...hmmmmmm)

Thanks Pat, thats my favorite one to! And to think, I didn't think it was salvagable at all! It was my first ACEO and my first attempt at watercolors and it was AWEFULL!! It then ended up accidently being tossed in the sink (stuck to my pallet when I took it to wash) and all the colors just really got messed up. After that, it sat there in the top of the office trash can for a week. Late at night, tired, wanting to be creative but not wanting to prep anymore paper /cut it to size, I dug it out and decided to see if I could resurect it. Well, it goes to show that even the worst acidents can be "fixed" with a fresh perspective (and a bit of lazieness).

I know I probably shouldn't admit ALL that, but its you guys, so I can LOL.  The problem is, I actually like it enough to want a large version in my hall, and I'm not sure if I can recreate the "accidents" that went into making it LOL!

Its amazing to me that the paper straigtened out after I got the acrylic on it, I mean it was totaly warped and now its perfectly flat!!

Thanks Christina, I did 6 in that series, all on one large sheet, then cut it up into ACEO size. I'll post the others next week. I named it after my favorite Blenko Glass line, Tequila Sunrise, as the colors are simular.

I like the last one best too, interesting history to it! To me it looks like something you might see in a microscope, it also reminds me a little bit of some of Max Ernst's work.

Good luck with them!

Really good job on all of the ACEOs...my two favorites are the first one and the last one!  I insert my ACEOs into the hard plastic sleeves, which helps keep them nice and flat.
