Greetings All!

What do you think of my "Fiber Art," "Wearable Art," BROOCHES???  Do you like the frayed edges, or no? This is a New product Line for me. Any suggestions or comments are welcome   :)

I think they are nice, Adra!! :) :)

Adra has them in her Etsy shop and in her portfolio here.

Here's an example of one of her brooches:

They are cool, Andra.  I didn't check the tags on each one, but be sure you are including as much info as possible in your tags that could be used as search terms (i.e., monarch, butterfly, gold, brown, handmade, jewelry etc etc).  As you expand the line, try to think of things that people might collect - strawberries, cherries, monkeys, palm trees, bees, etc.  It may get you more hits, and inlusion in treasuries with themes.

I'm really surprised that my Cat Brooch (wearable Art) hasn't sold on Etsy yet. I have more I would like to make, but I'm not sure if there is a market for them.

Maybe one of the reasons is clarity in the features, your other broaches have clear detail and design.  Not being critical, however, the cat broach face on first glance looks like a lot of stitches without have the features.  Maybe the thread you are using is too thick on the face, also the eyes are not spaced wide apart like a cats.  Just my thoughts.  It is not like your other broaches is what I am saying.

I think Heather is right about your Cat Brooch

I would also suggest using a contrasting color for the cat or a different background if you are going to do a white cat so that it really shows up!

Not any good at critiqueing anything so I will keep my mouth shut, but I do want to say your brooches are cute and I like the frayed edges.

Greetings heatherm!

Thank you so much for your critique! I greatly appreciate it!

I was going for Whimsical with my white kitty, but perhaps I should try a more realistic "realism" looking Cat. I'll give it a whirl and see how it goes over.
