I'm reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" and in the book, the husband mentioned an expensive book that he wanted for Christmas, The Mira Calligraphiae Monumenta. I did a google search and it is gorgeous. If you like beautiful old calligraphy, illuminated manuscripts, or the old botanical and nature illustrations, this is gorgeous. The Getty main page told a little of the history of the book. The links below will show you some pages from the book at the Getty, and their page links to other books based on this one. I can see why the Time Traveller wanted this book!

Looks like I won't be owning it any time soon.
