That's amazing, Kevin! What kind of plants are those?

This is a shot of backlit grape leaves from yesterday at the winery here.

Kevin....Thud.   Funky shot. I love everything about it, the water drops, the spider web and the weird  thingies. The color is fantastic as is the composition.

Murel, great back lighting. The leaves? on the ground gives it so much extra depth and texture. Wonderful

Must be the day for spider webs!!

Great shot, Kevin, the water drops are amazing!

Muriel, I love backlighting and your image is wonderful.  the leaves just glow...and grape leaves are so interesting.

Lisa, that is an amazing spider web (and you know how I feel about spiders, so glad there is no one home in your pic!).  I love the water glistening on it!

Robin, beautiful image....the composition is just perfect.  What kind of flower is that?  So delicate.

Here is one I hope I have not posted before....it is a plant in my computer room.....by the window...with afternoon light.

I'll third that! Beautiful, everyone.
Kevin, Lisa and Olga, droplets and webs are so photogenic, and when you get an artist's eye to capture them... magic!
Robin, beautiful composition. The shape of the petals is to die for (or draw...)
Lovely light, C.
Steph, I always love your mushrooms. LOL, Donna, yup...

This is Laurence T singing at the Winery late Saturday afternoon after the stomping contest...
This was his 16th year performing at Grape Stomp; always wonderful live R'n'B, soul and blues. He always brings a great band too.

Yes, interesting mushroom, Steph!!

Olga, love, love the water on that web.  Really sparkles.

Muriel, he looks like he doesn't have an audience....tell me he was singing for other people not having to just sing to himself!  Lovely picture, nice coloring.

Wow! I love this "photo of the day" thread and I hope we all keep it going. I kept returning to it again and again and never got tired of looking at all the beautiful shots. It really wakes me up to the beauty that is out there just waiting for us to see. THANKS for all the viewing pleasure guys. This week number 40 is gorgeous too. I look forward to this thread when I have time to get on my computer and my coffee. *sigh* *fun*

Annie
:)

P.S. Did anyone ever figure out what Olga's prehistoric bug was? I found one of those in my house and *prehistoric* is right. I'd never seen anything like it before here in Michigan. I think it came in through a loose screen. It looked like something loosed from a sci-fi movie. ~~shivvver~~
