Here's a big gaudy cuff bracelet that I'm working on from a class I took at a bead shop. I love it's free-form style, it looks like something found in a treasure chest in a pirate movie, right up my gaudy alley. And I'm finally using my grandma's vintage buttons and charms, they are out of their box in the closet and onto my wrist where I can see and enjoy them. I'm also adding a few new buttons. These pics were two days ago and now I've started on the other side and working my way toward the middle. I've taken some close-ups so you can see how I'm doing this. I am really happy with the way this is turning out. First we made a free-form wire armature and pounded it with a hammer to harden the wire. Then we started free-form stringing on thinner wire all the different beads you see in the tray below and adding buttons and charms. After it's finished, we bend it into a cuff shape. I'll post a pic when it's done. It takes nowhere near the amount of buttons in the bags, they are for other future projects, not this one. It will take about what you see laid out, probably even less. I'll post the finished bracelet here when I'm done. I'm finding that beading can be habit forming ;) Annie
