I have been into aprons lately and finding a LOT of people out there collecting vintage ones and making, selling and blogging about new aprons. There are some wonderful, cute, dressy, functional and even sexy ones out there.

So what about you?
Do you collect, make, use, wear, buy or sell aprons?
DO you have patterns, tutorials or styles that you have found and want to share?

Here is my favorite apron blog and I think this is my favorite sexy style but then I also love the choice of fabrics on these ones

Thanks for the links.
Aprons are fun.
I'm not into collecting them, but know a few people that are,
and I do appreciate the vintage ones. Also, some of the recycled
ones out there.

Aprons are just practical too. Every time I actually cook some type
of real dinner, I'm thinking, boy, I should have an apron.

I really love an apron artist that was featured in Belle Amoire Jan 2007.  Her name is Jacqueline Myers-Cho.
She has an etsy store, but there aren't any aprons in it.

Me!  I totally completely LOVE aprons.  I wear pinneys all the time.  Mostly 'cause I'm a slob.  I like the vintage ones best, or the ones that look like they would be that you can still buy in really tacky five and dimes.  When they wear out I make 'em into stuff.   The fabrics are so cool and interesting.  I made a 'portrait' doll o' meself, its my favourite blue apron, my favourite pants, the button is off the coat I wore when I came here.. (i dunno how to do pictures, yet I dunno if this will work)   <img src="http://www.ebsqart.com/Art/2533/182715.jpg">

My husband is in to aprons.  Oh, never mind, that is a different thread...

Seriously, I do like them, but I don't have any.  I just lust after old kitschy ones.  (I do NOT need to collect anything else!)

I love those at the etsy link, I need one o' them - its too cool tho, I wouldn't wanna wear it as a apron, I'd be afraid I'd get it dirty!

Oh lovely apron collection!!! Do you ever make them?!

I saw an apron that I just LOVED in a magazine once, it was a mimic of a vintage one... and I keep swearing I'm going to make myself one. Especially with how much I'm in the kitchen!

I need one for functional purposes - almost all of my favorite tee shirts are ruined because of some rust-like stain that I think got on them from under the metal rim on the counter in front of the sink, where I wash dishes because I'm the only person in the western hemisphere who doesn't have a dishwasher. (Is that sentence run-on enough?)

I love aprons...  I always feel a connection to my mother, and grandmothers when I wear one.

My mother love aprons. She has an Etsy shop she dabbles with... mostly she just collects old ones and makes new ones from the old ones. She's a fabric junky.

Now that I am thinking of it, does anyone have a pattern for a simple one?! I would like something to match my kitchen and what better way then to just sew it myself!
