It disturbs me too, Jen.

It is a monument to the GROTESQUE!

I am going to go look at nice things now so I don't take these images to bed with me tonite..or I won't sleep.

ok, maybe I'm a little whacked, but I thought it was cool....more comic than grotesque....but then I like to read Stephen King and Dean Koontz late at night...all by myself...

BWAHAHAH!!!! I love the babies crawling up the tree. Those are fantastic.

I thought they were comic, as well... and I like them. I wouldn't want them in my house... well, maybe the tv stand... but I'd love to have them around where I could go see them and contemplate absurdity for a while.

Absurdity, that describes it.  They were bizarre, but a bizarre that at least made you look....Can't say I liked them, they have a disgusting quality about them, but also something interesting.....

I liked 'em too. Not want-to-have-one-in-my-house liked them, but would-love-to-see-the-installation-in-person liked them.

Like many of the others I find them 'haunting'...and a bit disgusting, but........
I also find that the 'expressiveness' and the geometry of line is very 'poetic'...
I like them, but wouldn't want to see them in my home. OK...I'm weird too I guess.

I actually found them scary.  I don't mind art where people are disproportionate or dysmorphic, if I see the soul to a piece.  I couldn't see one in these pieces.... which doesn't mean its not there.  I feel like I'm looking at body parts without any human-ness.  Like art that a sociopath or serial killer would produce.

On the other hand... it provoked a rather exact and strong response from me... and that is a measure of its success.

I like them alot....matter of fact they are full of human functions...what we encounter daily..but just percieved in a way that may not be accepted in a society view because of the grossness of them..just think tho if our minds were not trained to THINK this is gross...step outside the box for a few :) then come back here and pick one image and really think about what the artist was trying to say...lets try it....:)

I think if it was the ripply flesh that made them look like people with rotten flesh.  If they were smooth it would be an entirely different effect.

I love 3-D! This peice is all that is right with the art experience. It is evoking conversation, bringing out opinions & stirring emotions. Some of us are shocked at it's "in your face" presentation .... God I love it!! If I could get 1/10th of the reaction with one of my pieces, all would be good with the world.
