"Childhood: An International Photo Competition" (Posted: 8/25/09) -- The Texas Photographic Society announces a call to artists for an international exhibit that will open at the Dougherty Art Center in Austin, TX in January 2010 and then tour the state of Texas for one year. Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit digital files of their color and black and white works. A color catalogue of the exhibition will be printed and sent to all entrants, select museum curators and photography magazines. Accepted entrants receive three catalogues. The juror, Jamie Lee Curtis, is seeking images that capture what it feels like to be a child - the good and the bad - joy, pain, play, boredom, frustration, elation. Deadline: October 2, 2009. $25 entry fee. For prospectus, visit http://texasphoto.org/TPS-Children.html or send a SASE to: 6338 N. New Braunfels #174 San Antonio, TX 78209. Questions? Contact Clarke Evans at clarke@texasphoto.org or 210-824-4123.
