How long have you been creating?

I've been creating one thing or another since I was very young.

Although some of my teen years were spent a bit reckless and rebellious at which time I thought I could write poems and/or songs instead...All the while, still taking as many art classes as I could possibly get away with at school.

Life changed a lot for many years...was married and divorced ...lots of responsibility working full time raising my "wonderful" son on my own for years. Remarried to the most encouraging wonderful husband-- had our "beautiful" daughter---stay at home Mom-creative again-purchased computer 10 years ago and that’s when this all began...

I’ve been creating non-stop for the past 10 + years!! :)

What, besides your art, brings you creative fulfillment?

Music!! I love finding new music-seeing local bands...music that is a bit alternative yet very creative...along with many old standbys. I really love all different styles of music, especially when I am creating. :)

Cooking--- creating savory dishes are one of my specialties...Cakes are also a favorite-Love decorating them!! ...of course. J

My house and garden are also other creative outlets for me. Love to paint and rearrange!!

What are your motivations for creating?

I do believe it's a part of me...the overwhelming feeling I have each as I awake, I actually wake up very early with all kinds of ideas and visions of paintings and new art pieces...it is exhausting at times...:)

One of my biggest passions is to create something that is unlike anything else...an inventor of sorts....I love to experiment constantly.

How do you know when a piece you're working on is done?

For me, it’s usually when I smile at the art piece I’m working on and feel as if it incorporates the very much balanced funkiness I’m always looking for!!

In my abstracts it’s all about color. I love to see the way colors come together and how one color can make another color come alive to create an exciting visual experience. Also, when I create a painting with the flowing colors ...I love when I find that unexpected something within the painting.

What do you find stimulating right now? How does this influence your creative process?

Mixed Media Art---I feel like I’m on a new creative adventure. Experimenting constantly trying to find that one really unique new idea I’m passionate about. My mosaic art was that for me for many years...it may be again.

I also have a new shop/studio that I’ve just recently rented and plan to open in just a few days. That in itself is sending me on a creative spree. :)

What brought you to EBSQ?

I’ve been a member of EBSQ for about 7 years...maybe more! I came here back when I first started selling on eBay as a means to be connected with other artists. I also wanted to create an online Portfolio of my work with a website that I knew had creditability in the online world.

Please share some of your artistic goals for 2008.

Open my new studio!! Create with a bit more uninterrupted freedom within.

Have a great art blog. Let people know a bit more about me and connect more with others.

What would you like your fellow EBSQ artists and our collectors to know about you and/or your work?

What I most want people to know about my art is that I normally create with the throw caution to the wind attitude.

I’m on a creative journey...much more to come.
