This old fence post, made up of recycled railroad ties, was built to outlive its creators in the harsh desert under the Arizona sun. It not only outlived its creators, but the main house to the ranch itself. This small strip of fence is all that remains of what was once a vast ranch, and though the ranch is gone, this post is still standing.
The shape of the post reminds me of an old wooden cross. Perhaps, this far away from any civilization, this is where the old ranchers would come to give their respect and show their faith.
