This painting was done in the expressive style similar to the German Expressionists. There are a lot of choppy little strokes on top of other strokes that create one image of a woman in feather boa and large bracelet staring back at the viewer with an air of mystery about her. Her out fit is red, a color associated with danger and blood. She is the Vamp, the queen of the night. This image is based off of a photograph that I took of a friend while dancing at a club. I used a lot of fluorescent colors to give the figure and painting an unearthly glow.
