The idea for this piece came to me while I was driving . It was a bright and beautiful day. Big, fluffy clouds hung happily over the Texas highway I was on. While glancing up at the clouds from time to time, the image began to form in my mind.

This is an intaglio etching done on a copper plate. After I printed the piece, I hand colored it with watercolors.

Yes- that is Napoleon Bonaparte on the balloon horse. I used a depiction of him from the painting 'Napoleon Crossing The Alps.'
