Myrtle the mermaid loves to worship the sun. She loves to take her afternoon naps while laying on the boulders at the edge of the sea. It’s there she can lul herself to sleep by the crashing of the waves. She’s also achieved a sun kissed tan and golden locks of hair. Her angelic features allow her to watch over others in the sea and keep them from harms way. This is a one-of-a kind, hand painted, fused glass pendant. The design is painted directly on to the glass with powdered glass enamels and then kiln fired several times, permanently fusing the enamels to the glass. It takes several firings over several days to achieve the desired results. This is not a decal and since it is one-of-a-kind, no two will ever come out looking the same. Each one is unique and individual. This measures aprox. 1.5 x 1.5 inches not including the sterling silver bail. I've signed and dated it on the back. This is not only a beautiful piece of jewelry to wear, but makes it a collectible piece of art as well.
