I wanted to show off what could be done in stained glass without relying on the common practice nowadays of using commercial 'art' coloured glass... this sculpture explores the richness that develops in glass when it is fused with metals. The tones are all complex, rich, and full of surprises.
The result is a vibrant and unusual piece: the glass backing is frosted white, the surface loaded with oxidised and fused metals for colour.
The sculpture is now in a private collection in France.
