I love the Wissmach Gold/Amber Hammered Stained glass. The color is glorious and the texture is fabulous for windows or anything else in stained glass. It occurred to me that I might try a votive candleholder using this glass, and I was delighted at the way that the candle flame is shattered as it comes through the glass. The piece was done using the copper foil method. The bottom of the votive is mirror glass. The solder has been treated with an antique bronze patina.
