The glass is a gorgeous melange of handblown and antique, European and American, with handblown BLENKO, glue chip, and some great bevels and crystals hand cut in West Germany. The glass is assembled with copper foil (ala Tiffany), lead solder, and an additional plating with copper.
The solid as a rock oak frame was made by a professional cabinetmaker, and could indeed be used as a cabinet door. The edges are beveled, and it is ready to accept hinge hardware. Sturdy screw eyes are installed on the top edge for hanging (chain included).
Hang this in a window, or backlit against a wall.
