This is a well-made high quality wood frame with clipped metal lace around the edge and a wood backer (not cardboard) that I got at an antique store. It was dark and boring and I love rescuing things and bringing them back to life. I painted this is a very bright teal and hope to do a series of frames in bright colors like orange, yellow, pink, etc. I love bright Mexican colors and I envision this hanging on an adobe or white tinted wall along with other future frames that I shabby in bright colors. Looks like it just came out of a hip potting shed ;)
I am currently working on a painting of a cactus bloom to frame in this frame.
Thin washes of teal mixed paint; antiqued and coated with medium gloss sealant.
