I used both transparent and opaque enamels to create this blue and watery environment. In addition I fired some opalescent chunks to create more surface texture. The addition of the stencil gives the seahorse more drama. The seahorse is a separate piece and not fired onto the circular plaque. There is some excellent 3M double-sided bonding tape which holds the seahorse fast to the background.
