This mixed-media creation was a multi-step process. I first had to put together some of this jigsaw puzzle, not one of my favorite pastimes! I really wanted to try this, though. I used a heavy weight board place mat for the ground. It has been primed with acrylic gesso. I then glued the jigsaw in a pattern that I liked and drew the face, I continued with the neck and shoulders off the puzzle so there is a dimensional aspect to the work.
