I was inspired by the sheet music for "Don't Fence Me In" for this piece. I painted the face and legs and added arms and rollerskates from magazine clippings. She has bright red wool hair with an oblong "jewel" as adornment. Real red pompoms on her skates. The fence is made from the musical notes of the song. Sides of wrapped canvas are painted black so a frame in unecessary. One of a kind original.
