This original mixed media painting is done on a primed masonite panel. I used many layers of different colors of paint using a scraper for the rough textured look. I painted the face, body and arm. The parrots are from a book of 18th century bird paintings. I used the title and words from a Hit Parader magazine from 1959. Since Joey is a popular name for a pet bird.
