. “From the Hourglass Perspective” is the second Hand Painted Canvas Prints,Limited to only 25 of each painting.Canvas print this year from the Wizard of Oz. In the last one entitled "Before the Storm" I chose to represent an older Dorothy. In My new painting I wanted to show an all around younger more upset Dorothy. As a kid I used to love waiting every year for the Wizard of Oz to come on TV. It was always around Thanksgiving and the weather was just starting to get cold out. I love the way the color comes in and then fades back to black and white. It truly is one of those magical Movies. I always loved the part when Dorothy gets captured and locked away in the castle. Not really for the scene but the cool way the glass globe looks. Just something about it was so fascinating to me. I wanted to represent that feeling in this new painting. It is the focus of the picture. I love the subtle reflections in the glass. The other props from the movie are also represented in the background. From the oversized Velvet chair, to the brass decorations and golden tiles that line the back wall. I think Dorothy looks pretty neat too. She has a Kind of Wednesday Adams thing going and she is very upset with tears rolling down her face. She is looking out at us because we as the viewer, are the HouRGlaSS, and she is upset as the sand slowly drains away. I then U V protect the painting with a glossy finish. The colors and details look beautiful and vibrant, much more in real Life. Hand Painted Canvas Prints,Limited to only 25 of each painting. It looks beautiful in real life the colors are amazing. They are numbered 1- 25, Limited Edition. The picture has a certain magic quality to it.,and a must have for any Wizard of Oz Collector
