Namaste. This whimsical ONE OF A KIND, ORIGINAL magnet is made from discarded, scrap and/or recycled materials. It measures approx. 3.75" X 5.5". It comes from my "Table Top Challenge" series of collage art pieces created entirely from stuff that is within arm's reach on my work table, forcing me to use up materials I have at hand before acquiring more. Quite the challenge, indeed! A recycled, oversized playing card (distressed and altered, of course), various inks, stamped images, salvaged papers, tags, beautiful florals, and assorted embellishments were used. A ceramic and clay face cab (handmade) is the focal point of the piece. Scan does not show the beautiful color and rich detail of this piece. It has much more depth and interest than can be shown in the photos. The effect I am going for with these pieces is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my techniques and use of recycled materials often results in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece. This is an ORIGINAL work of art, not a copy or print. It is signed on the back. Suitable for framing or may be displayed using the large, slim-line magnet on the back. Would make a very unique gift for that special someone or a real conversation piece for your home or office!
