This piece is from my Lost and Found series. I had come across a whole sack full of photos dating from the late 1800's all the way to about the 1950's. The sad part was that these photos had no where to go, everyone in this family had passed. I decided to use them in my art to give them another home and have been doing so ever since. This assemblage is housed in a cigar box. I used old dice, old stop watch parts, old papers, old watch parrts, old key, old photo, paint, old circuit board part, vintage thimbles and a newer bear which was "rusted". All these parts are genuine vintage items with the exception of the bear. The ephemera is placed in layers and some have burned edges. The entire piece is mounted so that the book pages are above the mat.
This piece is ready to hang. As always everything is sealed and signed.
I'm so very lucky to be in Jan/Feb, Mar/Ap, May/June, and July/August issues of Somerset Studios, look me up.
