Namaste. Ths ONE OF A KIND, ORIGINAL pair of earrings comes from my "Stardust" jewelry series and was created by me from recycled shrink plastic, salvaged beads and silver metallic acrylic paint. They are approx. 1.5" wide by 3.5" long (see quarter in photo for size reference only). They are VERY lightweight and have surgical steel hooks. The technique I use with the paint and plastic creates a weathered or distressed metal look without the weight of metal. Very cool! The effect I am going for with these pieces is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my use of recycled materials often results in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece. Scan does not do them justice. They are much brighter than shown. Would make a wonderful gift for that special someone!
