Namaste. This whimsical ONE OF A KIND, ORIGINAL art doll is made from discarded, scrap and/or recycled materials. It measures approx. 5.5" tall X 2.5" wide (excluding hanger). It comes from my "Table Top Challenge" series of collage art pieces created from stuff that is within arm's reach on my work table, forcing me to use up materials I have at hand before acquiring more. Quite the challenge, indeed! An "altered" shipping tag, inks and stamped images, a beautiful hummingbird image, small wooden square (head) and assorted embellishments were used to create this art doll. Her arms were made from alphabet beads and recycled jewelry components. She hangs from a delicate gold cord. The sentiment reads, "Spread Your Wings." Scan is dark and does not show the beautiful color and rich detail of this piece. It has much more depth and interest than can be shown in the photos. The effect I am going for with these pieces is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my techniques and use of recycled materials often results in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece. This is an ORIGINAL work of art, not a copy or print. It is signed on the back. Would make a very unique gift for that special someone, a great accent piece for your own altered art project or a real conversation piece for your home or office!
