Namaste. This whimsical ONE OF A KIND, ORIGINAL collage/assemblage art magnet is made from discarded, scrap and/or recycled materials. It measures approx. 3" X 5". It comes from my "Table Top Challenge" series of collage art pieces created entirely from stuff that is within arm's reach on my work table, forcing me to use up materials I have at hand before acquiring more. Quite the challenge, indeed! A recycled, miniature wooden spoon (altered, of course), inks, stamped images, jewelry components, white silk flower, silver filigree, faux "jewels," handmade polymer clay face cab and assorted embellishments were used. The sentiment reads, "Bloom." Scan does not show the beautiful color and rich detail of this piece. It has much more depth and interest than can be shown in the photos. The effect I am going for with these pieces is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my techniques and use of recycled materials often results in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece. This is an ORIGINAL work of art, not a copy or print. It is signed on the back. Two strong magnets are adhered to the back. The piece is approx. 1" thick. Would make a very unique gift for that special someone or a real conversation piece of "APPLIANCE ART" for your home or office!
