Namaste. This whimsical ONE OF A KIND, ORIGINAL piece is made from discarded, scrap and/or recycled materials. It measures approx. 3" X 5"and comes from my "Table Top Challenge" series of collage art pieces created entirely from stuff that is within arm's reach on my work table, forcing me to use up materials I have at hand before acquiring more. Quite the challenge, indeed! Recycled cardstock, salvaged papers, recycled tag, inks, stamped images (courtesy Ink And The Dog), wood pieces and assorted embellishments were used. Scan does not show the beautiful color and rich detail of this piece. It has much more depth and interest than can be shown in the photos. The effect I am going for with these pieces is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my techniques and use of recycled materials often results in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece. This is an ORIGINAL work of art, not a copy or print. It is signed on the back and is approx. .5" thick. Suitable for framing or may be displayed as is on a small easel (back is finished). Would make a very unique gift for that special someone or a real conversation piece for your home or office!
