This vessel is essential in many homes. It is simply called the "4 o'clock cup" and was designed for all the moms I know, who need to unwind at that special time of the day when the kids start to unwind. The time after school and before dinner. The one, two or sometimes three hours without spousal support. The time of day when we moms really need a nap! People without children may not know about this time of day, or you may have heard the children screaming, fighting, and inevitably crying. You may have seen the look of utter and complete despair on the faces of their dedicated mothers. This goblet is in the shape of the female form; the bowl her head, the base her torso and her arms ripping her head off. It is not a large goblet. I am not condoning drunkeness or slovenliness. I am only recognizing this golden hour (or 2, or 3 , or 4.....) as a universal hour of motherly suffering. I propose to make it a time of joint celebration. Let's toast each other and thank the Lord that we are not alone. Most importantly let us be grateful that we have not ripped our or anyone else's head off.
