Queen Anne's Lace is so delicate and beautiful that I wanted to use the actual flower. The print is resized from a scan of a dried QAL and applied to a mirror back encased in clay. I wanted to make an item (a mirror) that might have been used in that time period. Queen Anne, Queen Anne made beautiful lace Not one in the land could match her pace. But one day the needle was too quick, And with it, her finger, she did prick. So now her flower has one red bud To represent her drop of blood. Nan
