Since my first abstract sold I decided to try another one. A rule of thumb in my art is the color details and schemes I use. I have found with abstracts this is insightly useful.
The neat thing about the abstracts I have created so far is that with this genre I more or less get to play around. This actually takes me back to that first few months when I played with Photosuite without having any clue as to what I was doing.
This started off as a close up of the sun's leaping solar flares which I cloned over the entire frame. I then layered it over a picture of a faraway galaxy stretched to fit the first layer. Using various settings such as color, gamma, etc, I created a picture that almost looks like blood red brush strokes lol. Then I skewed the axis of the center galaxy image to finally end up with a crooked evil looking eye.
