H is for Horse! Painted with bright and Vibrant acrylics. A knife was used to create the field of grass and some parts of Blacky. The sky has an undertone of yellow and the clouds were created by layering vibrant colors with the last layer being bright white. The trees have an under layer of red with the top layers blue and purple.
I rode blacky, a registered quarter horse for years in my teens. We spent many long hours together and he gave me great pleasure. He was the great grandson of Three bars a famous quarter horse. This painting is an imaginative piece of that time, a tranquil time, a more peaceful uncomplicated part of my life that I will forever remember.
