Anyone who has experienced physical or emotional abuse will come to find this painting an apt epxression of the experience. It is not another pretty picture. I found it rather unsettling to produce and to veiw. This is one of the first painting I have produced working with enamel paint. I did not begin with an intial sketch as I normally do, but began my the application of enamel with my fingers. Only as the forms began to emerge did I use brushes to bring out forms and give linear construction.
