SOLD! This is an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas. This is #2 in my "darkening of the light" series. I have always been intrigued with light showing through darkness and wanted to play with that in a series of paintings. This to me is the beauty of the night sky when it is lit by the amber glow of the harvest moon. I played with textures by layering rough patches of color over the base painting. Primary colors include Yellow Oxide, Quinacridone Gold, Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber and Dioxazine Purple.
