EBSQ Art FAQ - Profile Data - Marketing What is the 'Public Email' used for? If you supply a 'Public Email', it will appear as a clickable envelope icon in your profile. It is referred to as 'Public' because it is visible to the public. If you use this feature, you can expect the email address you use to receive a fair amount of spam. This spam is not from EBSQ but from unscrupulous visitors will scour web sites for email addresses and then add them to their lists. Unfortunately, this is part of the cost of doing business on the web. We recommend using an 'auxiliary' email address for public view. If you wish, ebsq can supply you with an email address - just write us at tech@ebsqart.com. What is the 'Marketing Blurb' for? This piece of information will be critical in getting your profile ranked highly in search engines. Search engines highly value the 'title' of a page (what appears in the title bar of the window).
as in: "Artist Profile - YOUR NAME - your marketing blurb" (don't include your name, we will do that).
Examples: 'Color Pencil Artist', 'Portrait Painter', or some other relevant short blurb that accurately describes you as an artist (quotes not required).
Give it some thought - what will people be searching the internet for, that 'finding you' would be appropriate?
