I have always loved to draw and paint.

I am a master scratchboard artist and my scratchboards are collected internationally. I've been a pioneer in the scratchboard medium, and over the years of drawing, teaching, and demonstrating, my drawings have achieved a distinct style. I continue to paint in watercolor because I love it, and the combination of both mediums keep me heavily involved in the art world.

I teach drawing and painting and enjoy it. I continue to paint Native Americans and pow wows as well as wildlife and landscapes. I use my blog to inform people of my daily paintings and newest projects and shows.

My formal art training began with Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles in 1970. I hold a BA in Studio Arts from Charter Oak State College. I studied Chinese Brushwork with Wang Chi-Yauan at UCLA and I find his early influence in my career to still be very important. I have painted watercolor under Zoltan Szabo and writing and illustrating childrens' books under Uri Schulevitz.

Be sure to look at my portfolio here at EBSQ. Many pieces are sold but in many cases I can make high quality giclees. If you like a particular painting or drawing, please email me for a price quote on reproductions.

I also accept commissions.
