Lily Pond was painted en pleine air at a small wooded park in Portland, Maine. I would occasionally bring my dog there for walks and one day happened upon this lily pond that happened to be in bloom and vowed to return the next day with my easel. I painted this is a few hours and enjoyed the solitude of this hidden area.
