Mother of Pearl Dragonflies is a modern representational abstract with many 3-D details. Rich multi- tonal, textured squares and rectangles are abstractly patterned to represent the lovely mother of pearl. The painting is thick iridescent pearls and silvers, with interference violets, blues, greens, pinks and gold. Pure silver leaf is used to highlight some of the thick texture. The 3-D dragonflies are painted in thick pearl and silver swirled with light and dark pinks. This is my second Maui inspired painting since my return last month. This painting has dragonfly written in the painting. I took several pictures in different lights so you can see how the painting will change in your home. The lighting changes from natural light and halogen lamp and also a combination of both. This painting (as many of my others) will change in different light from the special paint I use. This is a gallery wrapped canvas with staple free edges. The sides are painted in a satin silver. One extra stretcher bars through the back for extra support. This painting is coated in a high quality artist varnish to retain its original beauty for many years to come. I only use professional Golden Acrylics and mediums.
