Coined Willow and Dragonflies has many three dimensional and metallic details. A soft grayish blue background gives way to an old Willow that grows coins…we know money can’t grow on trees… I saw this tree in a dream I and immediately painted it. The colors are every metallic color you can think of light and deep gold, silver, bronze, stainless steel, micaceous iron oxide, light and deep copper and metallic pearl accents. There are two dragonflies largely painted and semi-hidden in the coins. Other three dimensional metallic dragonflies are dancing all over. Some are very tiny. This painting (as many of my others) will change in different light from the special interference paint I use. This is a gallery wrapped canvas with staple free edges. The sides are painted in a satin black. One extra stretcher bars through the back for extra support. This painting is coated in a high quality artist varnish to retain its original beauty for many years to come. I only use professional quality Golden Acrylics on all my paintings.
