My Zombie seires continues following Six-tinct, with "Newly Awakened." Zombies have come along way since the staggering, moaning, slow undead of the early horror films. Although I have always loved the classics like Night of the Living dead, Zombie, and Dawn of the Dead, while watching them I couldnt help but think that I would just run from there staggering juaunts arond town... or even just climb a tree. Zombies have in since been reborn, faster, stronger.... and hugrier. With "Newly Awakened" I wanted to capture some of the style of the older films while marrying the power, speed and hunger that is the Zombies of the 21st century. In "The Shower Scene", the Zombie painting I am currently working on, we will see this same Zombie fella ready to make his first Kill.... Stay tuned....
