This artist made necklace evokes a walk on the beach just before sunset. It gives off subtle golden tones and beautiful glistening colors. Light bounces from the Swarovski crystals and cut glass beads as they shine like diamonds on the water. Soft golden and white pearls along with seashells and even a little sea urchin lay nestled in a cool spot waiting for the warmth of the day to cool a little.
A beautiful 5 pointed three dimensional starfish focal bead dangles below a freshwater pearl center. You can't help but get that going to the beach feeling, when you lay your eyes on, or better yet wear, this peyote stitched freeform necklace.
Several shades and sizes of glass seed beads in golden colors, as well as coppers, brass, and silver were lovingly picked up with a tiny English beading needle, one at a time. Only then did I know where they wanted to go, as we went along. It is finished with a lovely vintage cut crystal button that I have incorporated as a closure. There is no pattern for this work and if even I wanted to, I could never recreate it. It is very light and flexible, and therefore easy to wear with jeans and a t-shirt, a breezy sundress or that little black dress for that special occasion.
It is truly one of a kind, and is FOR SALE.
