This is one that was done from memory. I had gone back out west to visit my family, and did a few plein air paintings as studies. So when I began this one, back here in my studio, I wanted to experiment with the thin transparent glazes against the thick opaque paint. It was so exciting to see the layers effect each other. While I was working on it I kept thinking about the Living water of Heaven. So I tried to make it look like a different time and place. I love the anticipation I feel from it!
