Although I wasn't blessed with cows in my backyard growing up..I continue to feel a connection with animals that is rooted in my childhood..Early readers featured farm animals and I was instantly in bliss..In my fantasies I saw myself in a field with friendly cattle.(.such as Mattie) and there is something about a flashy set of red patent shoes to set a girl apart from the crowd :-) I now have cows in my backyard..finally..as an adult..so sometimes our childhood dreams do come true!
