"Iris and Daffodils" is a 5" x 7" is a scratchboard drawing done by award winning American artist Arlene Wright-Correll on black clayboard with colored India Ink. This process had previously been difficult to achieve. The drawing is made and then chalked on the back, a stylus is drawn over the pattern, then a scratch knife is used to take off the pattern. India ink colors are applied and then scratched off and applied again and scratched off until the end piece of work is completed to my satisfaction. It comes to you unmatted and unframed. Owning a piece of original art by Arlene Wright-Correll is affordable! And, scratchboard art holds up incredibly well; it will not fade in direct sunlight and can even tolerate moisture.
