Spring Pink is my entry to EBSQ's Think Pink Show to benefit the Susan G Komen Foundation.

Spring is a time of renewal and hope. The color pink symbolizes that hope and renewal in the lives of cancer survivors, their families, and their friends.

I began this painting in April 2007, when the flowering trees and azaleas were bursting with blossoms, but I couldn't get it to come together the way I had pictured, so I put it aside. When I read about the Think Pink show, I remembered this piece, went back to work on it, and everything fell into place. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
