In private collection

This is my Rip-off of Donna Colestock's work. When I looked through her portfolio, two pieces jumped out at me. The first was Donna's colorful Jamaica Heat, and the second was Summer Seasons. I decided to combine elements from those pieces for my Rip Off of Donna's work.

I used soft, peaceful blues and greens from Summer Season's colorblocks, and spiced it up with some of the lively colors from Jamaica Heat. The colorblocks became the ocean, a sandy beach, and towels drying on a line. Although my piece is representational, it is quite minimalist and, I hope, in keeping with Donna's abstract pieces.
