My entry for the '06 pet portrait swap is this rendition of Tracey Allyn Greene's petite kitty cat Nikki. As soon as Tracey sent me the photos I knew I wanted to paint Nikki as an Odalisque. I have had a lot of fun with this one and I hope I have done little nikki justice. I have painted the edges as well so it does not require any framing. This painting has recieved a fair bit of attention in my house most notably from one of my randy male cats who was quite intrigued, I have done my best to remove most of the little cat hairs he left imbeded in the wet paint :) A few changes are yet to be made when the paint dries but I have run out of time and must submit it as it is now just under the deadline. Oh and I dropped it so have had to repair some damage that occured when it slid behind my cabinet, if you see anything smudged funny in the photo that does not look right, thats why :) Like a said a few things still to fix.
