I was born and raised in and around Houston, Texas. As an only child, I spent a lot of my time doodling and creating. On my 10th birthday I received my first camera, a Polaroid, and have been hooked on photography ever since.

I was accepted to Brooks Institute out of high school but instead followed my high school sweetheart to Sam Houston State and studied photography and cinematography there. Two years into it we were married and I left college to become a wife and mom. Fast forward seven years to the status of "single working mom" and back to college where I received a degree with honors from The Art Institute of Houston. I've been shooting, developing and printing my own images since. That's over 20 years, for those who care.

When the world went digital, I did too. I've been working in photoshop since the early 90's and STILL learn new things/tricks almost every day! The cameras I use consist of a Canon EOS 20D (work), a Canon 1Ds (work), a Canon EOS Rebel XT (personal), A Nikon D70 (work) and a Sony CyberShot 7.2 (personal). At present I am a full time geologic photographer and mom, and part time self taught artist. My style is ever changing, as is my subject matter. Although I am a photographer first, I find myself increasingly dabbling in other areas such as ACEO's, acrylics, and watercolor, pretty much whatever the mood is when it hits me.
