Well folks, not a lot of New Orleans is the same I must report. Driving in from east to west on Interstate 10 at night.... there were no lights, no people, no business open in east New Orleans. After traveling on one lane on the on the twinspan into the darkened metro area.... It seemed as I was in the twilight zone.I was almost downtown before I saw the twinkle of lights and signs of activity in the area. My family lives in Metairie and most things are back to normal there.(sort of) I spent a rainy day in the French Quarter while my sister tended to the few customers who wandered into her store on Royal Street. I strolled the French Quarter in amazement at the lack of activity in the streets. No one in the shops, No music in the streets no artist selling art in Jackson Square. I don't recall seeing any buggies either. Yes, It was a rainy day, but that has never stopped the people from enjoying the sites, sounds and foods of this historical sight. This is one of the images I took while there. I call this series "Four Months After Katrina". There is a very intimate feeling to these photographs as it was almost as though I had " the place to my self". Please read more about my photographic technique below.
